(2) Growth - breeding pigs - 5.7L / head / day
(3) pregnant sows and boars - 15.1L / head / day
(4) lactating sows - 22.7L / head / day
If the pig house uses the nipple drinker, you need to pay attention to the speed of the water. For different stages of pigs, the water output speed is also different.
The recommended water flow rates for pigs at different growth stages are as follows:
Conservation pigs - 250 ~ 500ml / min or 1-2 cups / min;
Growing pigs - 500 ~ 1000ml / min, or 2 ~ 4 cups / min;
Breeding pigs - 1000ml/min or 4 cups/min.
Drinking water not only affects the growth of pigs, but also reflects the health of the herd. If the drinking water in a pigpen declines for 3 consecutive days, or if the water consumption drops by 30% in one day, this indicates that the pigs in the pen is likely to have potential health problems. At this point, the employee responsible for the pigpen needs to find the reason accordingly.

Therefore, in the management of pig production, not only the feed and feeding equipment should be paid more attention, but also the drinking water and drinking equipment are very important. Only by paying more attention to these two aspects can the pigs obtain high production capacity.
